Mr Ayodele Fayose, the Ekiti state governor is one of the happiest people on earth today.
The governor managed to weather an impeachment plot against him by 19 aggrieved All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmakers.
The tenure of the lawmakers has expired and Fayose will proclaim the fifth assembly of the state today, June 5, 2015.
The outgoing assembly elected into office on June 6, 2011, was made up of 19 APC while the remaining seven were of the PDP but the one that will be proclaimed today will be an all Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) house as the party cleared all the seats in the April 11 House of Assembly election.
Fayose was spotted on a motorcycle popularly called okada, dressed in a T-shirt and a red pair of shoes, heading for the inauguration ceremony of the new state assembly along with new lawmakers.
The governor shared photos on his twitter handle.
The inauguration will hold at the assembly complex
The 19 APC lawmakers have been trying to impeach Fayose for some time now. If the impeachment proceeding had succeeded, he would have recorded an unusual history as the first governor to be impeached twice in Nigeria.
Despite the fierce battle between the governor and the outgoing lawmakers, Fayose has assured that all is forgiven because the evil plans against him failed
